Ayoma Calls on Waive To Create Ughievwen LG Council And Restore Ughelli South Constituency 11 in DTHA, Praises Oyibode for Exemplary Representation

Okobaro Palace, today – In a significant call for the establishment of the Ughievwen Local Government Council, Freeborn Ayoma, a former President General of the Iwhrekreka Community and current spokesperson for the community, urged Rt. Hon. Ejiroghene Francis Waive, the Member representing Udu, Ughelli South, and North constituencies at the Federal House of Representatives, and all concerned parties, to take action towards creating the Ughievwen Local Government Council.

Ayoma emphasized the importance of restoring the Ughelli South Constituency 2 to the Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA), a crucial step that has been missing for some time. In his statement, Ayoma noted that Ughievwen, as the second-largest kingdom in the Urhobo region, has long been deserving of its own local government council, and the time has come to rectify this oversight.

Furthermore, Ayoma extended his appreciation to Hon. Chief Vincent Oyibode, the Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government, for his outstanding leadership in the area. He praised Oyibode’s transparent and hard-working approach to governance, which has contributed greatly to the restoration of peace within Udu. Ayoma also commended Oyibode for his numerous projects and for maintaining fairness and equity in addressing the needs of all Udu residents, regardless of political affiliations. His fairness, Ayoma stated, is unmatched and sets a standard for effective leadership.

On behalf of the Ughievwen chiefs, Ayoma also thanked Hon. Oyibode for attending the Chieftaincy title ceremony held at Okobaro Royal Palace recently.
